Dr. Dave is truly amazing an amazing health care provider! He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and creates a great experience of health and healing each time you visit. Ive seen Dr. Dave for years and can attest to his ability to help others on their path to wellness. I found myself going through a very difficult experience last year after suffering a severe concussion. After months of not having any smell or taste along with visual and balance abnormalities, I started to experience true healing. I first saw Dave in July of 2014, after several years of extreme stress, when I felt like my body was literally on fire. He might have thought I was crazy, but he got to work, answering my questions, and explaining what, and how he could address my physical discomfort. The emotional release surprised me at first, however after several appointments I was feeling like myself again.
Dave is thorough in his assessments, takes time to really listen and focus on areas of concern. Ive seen him for a shoulder injury, in which I was in extreme pain with loss of mobility, peri-menopause, and now menopause symptoms. I sometimes suffer with osteoarthritis pain, and swelling, and after an appointment I feel so much better, and swelling is diminished. His knowledge of Chinese herbal medicine has also been helpful when needed, especially with a challenging constitution.
Dave goes above and beyond, more so than any healthcare provider Ive been to. Hes definitely the one Ive had the longest standing relationship with. I highly recommend Dave, especially if youd prefer to address the causes of health concerns, instead of covering up symptoms. His office is comfortable, clean, and relaxing. Dave is a rare, and gentle healer, and certainly doesnt disappoint.

I was referred to see Dr. Dave by a friend of mine that has also seen Dave for several years and she had told me of the success and relief that his acupuncture and herbal tea treatments had brought her. So I thought that I would give acupuncture a try for my neck, shoulder and back issues that I have been suffering thru for a couple of years due to the physical work that I do at work. I come from a back ground belief of using natural health treatment and remedies as much as possible.
I have been doing regular massage and chiropractic treatments for the past couple of years as well. The massage therapy I have fallen in love with and the chiropractic has only helped short term with my issues. So in comes acupuncture, I have only been seeing Dr. Dave for a total of 10 treatments every two or three weeks and I have seen such a huge change in mobility, pain and stiffness relief that is remarkable how the needles and herbal teas have helped.
Dave is very kind, gentle, informative and knowable about the human body and how to treat what is hurting or bothering you and your entire system as a whole. He also has a great since of humor that he puts into his care that puts you at ease for your session.
I highly recommend him and his practice for what ever might be causing your ales.
My biggest regret with starting my care with Dr. Dave is that I did NOT start it sooner due to the wonderful results that I have seen, and that I will miss him and his care when I move out of state at the end of the month.
However I do know that I will seek out acupuncture therapy when I get to AZ to continue my progress of healing and rebuilding my body.

Initially I started seeing Dave because of an overall lack of energy. I was constantly tired and it took all of my strength to complete the smallest tasks. I knew very little about acupuncture and even less about herbal treatments. However, through Daves guidance and recommendations I started acupuncture and herbs and within just a few sessions I started to see a change in my energy levels. It was at this point I realized that acupuncture truly works and wanted to explore other areas acupuncture could be of help.
Next I decided to tackle the task of getting off the anti-depressant I had been on for 9 years. I had tried to wean myself in the past but always ended up going back on the medication because the withdrawal symptoms were too intense. Through weekly visits, herbs, and great support from Dave I managed to get off the anti-depressant in 2 months.
Initially I was very scared, I knew the side of effects of weaning off the medication and even more so I was worried about facing my anxiety for the first time in nine years. Yet that is the great thing about Dave, you dont need to worry. I was given patient specific herbs including one for the headaches, which worked amazing. Dave always made a point to explain to me what the objective of the herbs was and how they work in regards to my body as a whole. In conjunction with the herbs I had weekly acupuncture sessions, which are honestly, the most relaxing form of treatment I have ever experienced.
Dave genuinely cares about his patients and I could see this in his willingness to listen and confront any and all concerns I had. I also appreciated Daves ability to meet me where I was at in terms of my treatment. He never pushed me to do anything I didnt want and was supportive of every decision I made. I am now two and half months off of the antidepressant and I have never felt better. I continue to see Dave for ongoing maintenance and can say with complete honesty that I would not be where I am today if it wasnt for Dave Kaplan. He is truly great at what he does. There are so many acupuncturists out there and I could have gone to any of them. However, I consider myself lucky to have gone through the experience I did having Dave as my acupuncturist and supporter. He is such a kind person and truly enjoys helping people. Its with complete confidence I recommend Dave Kaplan.

I have had an excellent acupuncture experience with Dave over the past year. I originally started seeing him for fertility issues; we got pregnant the month after my first session. I stuck with the treatments through my pregnancy and had a much easier pregnancy compared to my first one. I continue to see Dave for maintenance issues and overall health. Dave is great! I$0027ve had acupuncture before in other cities and realized the benefits, but Dave really makes the difference here. He$0027s researched different approaches and herbs to help me manage the symptoms from my chronic pain condition, and kept at it until he found something that helps me. Dave worked me in on a day he was full and I was in the middle of an acute anxiety and insomnia hurricane. Dave asked me a detailed set of questions to make sure he understood my current issue and problem. His very thorough treatment approach was not rushed even on this day when he added me into his already full schedule. He also compounded me an herbal mix for sleeping which helped immensely. The acupuncture and herbs together made me feel much, much better. I am so appreciative to know Dave and work with him for my health needs. It is clear he cares about his clients…. really cares. I have been treated by Dave for several years for various sporting issues. I am an avid Pickleball player and Dave is always able to figure out what causes my «aches and pains». My latest issue was hip pain. I was worried it could turn into the need for a hip replacement, but Dave keyed in on it being my I.T. Band and fixed the problem. He has vast knowledge of the human body, mind and spirit and addresses his patients as a whole entity. He also has a great sense of humor and, most importantly, he is kind and gentle with his needling skills. If you are hesitant to be treated for a distaste of needles, give him a try.
